For 61st Britannia Filmfare awards, the singers who got nominated for the category, Best Playback Singer (Male) were:

• Ankit Tiwari - 'Tu Hai Ke Nahi' (Roy)
• Arijit Singh - 'Gerua' (Dilwale)
• Arijit Singh - 'Sooraj Dooba' (Roy)
• Atif Aslam - 'Jeena Jeena' (Badlapur)
• Papon - 'Moh Moh Ke Dhaage' (Dum Laga Ke Haisha)

The winner of 2016 Filmfare award in the Best Singer category is Arijit Singh for the soulful number Sooraj Dooba from the film Roy. While the movie failed miserably at the Box Office, the songs of the movie was super awesome and Arijit's song was one of the most favourite of viewers from the Roy.

Roy movie starred Ranbir Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandez and Arjun Rampal in lead roles! Arijit being the latest sensation in Bollywood was bound to win the award!
