Comedy Space For Indian Actresses Diminishing: Richa Chadha!
Richa Chadha says that comedy was once cherished by actresses in Bollywood and now the same genre is diminishing for women in the industry.
Richa Chadha believes that Indian cinema has had a unique space for "an adorable and funny female" but now she finds that space diminishing. What does the versatile actress have to say about comical roles for women in India? Richa said in a statement,
"We have a long history there. Our leading ladies, like Madhubala in Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi or Rekha ji in Khubsoorat, or Sridevi in Chaalbaaz and Mr. India. We have had a unique space for an adorable and funny female in our films."

She further commented that she feels comedy roles for actresses is diminishing, "I find that space diminishing. I feel fortunate that I have played a character as internal and traumatised as Devi in Masaan and now Bholi in Fukrey."
On the work front, Richa Chadha is currently shooting for her upcoming films Aur Devdas and Cabaret. Both the films are slated to hit the theatres in 2017. The last Richa Chadha was seen on the silver screen was for Aishwarya Rai and Randeep Hooda starrer Sarbjit.
