Here’s The First Glimpse Of Shahid Kapoor And Deepika Padukone From The Sets Of Padmavati!

Shahid Kapoor and Deepika Padukone recently wrapped up the first shooting schedule of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmavati with a song sequence.

A new picture has now surfaced from the sets where we get the first glimpse of the duo from the film. Shahid who plays Raja Rawal Ratan Singh is seen donning a beige dhoti and black sweatshirt. On the other hand, his 'Rani Padmavati' Deepika Padukone sports a royal look in a heavy cream-and-gold lehenga with metallic jewellery.

Shahid who has been taking some sword-fighting and horse-riding lessons for his role in this period drama. A Mumbai report quoted a source saying, "He has several shirtless sequences in the film and takes off his sweatshirt before the cameras roll."

Padmavati is a dramatised version of the 1303 siege of the Chittor fort in Rajasthan with Ranveer Singh playing the anti-hero, Alauddin Khilji. It also stars Aditi Rao Hydari as Ranveer's wife whereas Neerja actor Jim Sarbh plays a prominent role.

The film is slated to release on 17th November 20
