The
month
of
January
2017
will
see
one
of
the
biggest
box
office
clashes
in
the
form
of
Shahrukh
Khan's
Raees
and
Hrithik
Roshan's
Kaabil.
The
two
actors
who
played
loving
brothers
in
Kabhie
Khushi
Kabhie
Gham
will
now
battle
it
out
with
their
respective
films
at
the
ticket
windows.
While
Hrithik
had
earlier
commented
on
the
clash
by
saying
it's
not
unethical
and
illegal,
he
recently
spoke
about
it
in
a
very
surprising
way
in
an
interview.
The
Kaabil
actor
was
quoted
saying,
"Hopefully
both
films
will
do
well,
but
on
the
whole,
it
will
be
a
loss
of
about
Rs
100
crores
for
the
industry
as
compared
to
both
the
films
releasing
individually.
My
father
understands
that
and
he
is
sad
about
that,
and
he
thinks
that
it
could
have
been
managed
in
a
better
way,
but
we
completely
understand
Raees
was
in
the
waiting
for
too
long.
My
wish
is
that
when
both
the
films
do
well,
Shahrukh,
I,
dad,
Farhan
and
everyone
will
pop
champagne
and
celebrate
for
each
other."
Earlier,
in
an
interview
with
Rajeev
Masand,
Duggu
had
said,
"In
Hollywood,
no
two
big
films
have
ever
clashed.
Batman
will
never
come
with
Superman,
Lord
of
the
Rings
will
not
come
with
Harry
Potter.
So
there
they
manage
it
really
really
well.
It
made
me
think
that
it
is
actually
possible.
I
shouldn't
be
okay
with
it,
we
should
not
be
okay
with
it.
We
should
manage
our
calendar
because
it
is
better
for
the
industry.
Both
the
films
coming
together
will
be
a
loss,
if
both
the
films
are
good,
we
would
still
earn
about
Rs
100
crores
less
in
the
industry
compared
to
both
the
films
released
individually.
So
it's
okay.
All
I'm
saying
is
that
it's
unfortunate
but
it's
without
blame."
Well,
let's
hope
that
both
the
films
receive
thumbs
up
from
the
audience!
