When the leading tabloid Mumbai Mirror asked John Abraham about Bipasha Basu's marriage with Karan Singh Grover, he said, "I wish her all the best."

Soon after their break-up John Abraham married Priya Raunchal. Many reports claimed that he cheated on Bipasha, with Priya. But John denied it and told a leading daily, ''I know that break-ups stir up a lot of emotions and I can empathise with that. I come from a family where credibility and honesty have always mattered.''

He further added, ''Cheating and dishonesty, in any form, is not in my DNA. It is unfortunate if my silence is mistaken as acceptance for things said about me. I have always maintained a dignified silence because that is how I am raised. I have a clear conscience.''

Another report stated that John Abraham wasn't ready to settle down and Bipasha Basu was getting increasingly frustrated with his attitude towards their relationship. He had started taking her for granted and it really hurt her.

However, many insiders also claimed that it was Bipasha Basu, who was not loyal to John Abraham.
