Neerja Declared Tax-Free, Sonam Kapoor Says Thanks To Rajasthan CM

Sonam Kapoor's Neerja is one of the best movies of 2016. And now the movie has been declared tax-free in Rajasthan. Neerja was earlier announced tax free in Delhi and Uttar Pradesh.

The beautiful actress recently thanked Rajasthan CM on microblogging site Twitter, "A huge Thank You to Hon CM Smt @vasundharaBJP for making #Neerja tax free. Humbled by the gesture towards our nation's pride Neerja Bhanot.''

Neerja was made with a budget of 21 Crores and the movie has already collected 55.99 Crores at the box office. The film revolves around the hijacking of Pan Am Flight in Karachi, Pakistan on September 5, 1986 and Neerja Bhanot died who died while saving the life of hostages.

After seeing the success of Neerja, the makers of the movie feel that the film should be India's entry to the Academy Awards. They also want to release the film in many countries.

''Neerja has been a learning lesson for all of us. This is just the beginning...We want to release the film in lot of countries like Taiwan and others who don't look at Bollywood films. It is a long race,'' Fox Star Studio CEO, Vijay Singh said recently.

Directed by Ram Madhvani, the film also stars Shabana Azmi, Shekhar Ravjiani and Yogendra Tiku.
