Their church wedding took place in the morning, while the Hindu wedding was held in the evening at Dusit Devarana hotel on NH8, NCR. Talking about Asin Thottumkal and Rahul Sharma's wedding, a source told HT, "It was held in a beautiful chapel set-up, and was followed by a special lunch. What was kept under wraps was that the couple also sponsored celebrations in orphanages in Delhi and Kochi on their wedding day.''

Akshay Kumar, who introduced Asin to Rahul, was the best man at their wedding. The actor recently revealed to a leading news agency, "It was a nice affair. Everything went off very well. Asin and Rahul are very private people. Everybody has respected their privacy. It was a very simple affair and today they are very happy and I am very happy that I played the Cupid. I hope that they live like this forever.''

Akshay Kumar further added, "It's just a coincidence that I was in Delhi during her wedding. If I would have been in Mumbai, I would have flown to attend the wedding.''

The actor also posted an adorable message for Rahul and Asin on Twitter, "Wishing the happy couple, Asin and Rahul a lifetime of love and adventures, indeed made for each other. Love and prayers always," Akshay tweeted.
