It was reported that recently, Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif, were having a good time partying around midnight, and all of a sudden, the duo decided to go and visit their best friend and director Ayan Mukerji, in the wee hours of the night and surprise him.

Things did not go as planned, as Ayan Mukerji, was fast asleep and Ranbir Kapoor & Katrina Kaif, ended up waiting for 10 minutes outside his house.

It was reported, that even the security were asleep when Katrina Kaif & Ranbir Kapoor came to Ayan Mukerji's house, and RanKat had to wait for 10 minutes.

However, things did not go as planned, and Ranbir & Katrina, ended up waiting outside Ayan Mukerji's house for almost 10 minutes, as Ayan Mukerji, was fast asleep.

A source close to the couple was quoted as saying,

"Ranbir and Katrina left from their new Bandra apartment (where they live in together) to meet friend Ayan at his Khar residence around 1 am. Once the couple reached, they had to wait outside his house for almost ten minutes as Ayan was fast asleep."

The source also says, that even the security was asleep and hence, both Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif, had to wait outside Ayan's house for around 10 minutes.

Looking at how Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif wanted to surprise Ayan Mukerji, it's been confirmed that Ayan, is their 3 AM friend.
