On November 30, 2000, Priyanka was crowned Miss World and made India proud. She was the fifth Indian woman to bag the prestigious title. Like most of the former beauty queens, she also tried her hand at movies and was successful in it.
After making her Bollywood debut in 2003 with The Hero: Love Story of a Spy, she went on to star in critically acclaimed films like Fashion, 7 Khoon Maaf, Barfi! and Mary Kom. The Padma Shri awardee has also carved a niche for herself on foreign shores. In 2012, she entertained music lovers with her international hit number 'In My City' which also featured American rapper Will.I.Am. Priyanka would also debut in Hollywood with the movie Baywatch in 2017.
