Priyanka Chopra's Honest Response To Deepika Padukone Refusing To Share The IIFA Stage With Her

Very recently it was reported that Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone were all set to share the stage together at the IIFA Awards 2016 in Spain. The organisers wanted them to perform together on their hit number Pinga from Bajirao Mastani.

A source from the event had told a leading daily that it was Deepika who backed out from the plan. When Priyanka Chopra was asked about the same in an interview to DNA, she said, "I know. Initially, I guess that was the plan. But then I think they changed it. Don't ask me why, I have no clue."

Talking about their stage act, a source had informed the daily, "The organisers had approached Priyanka and Deepika for a joint performance, and the former was enthused by the proposal. However, Deepika refused to perform alongside her contemporary for reasons best known to her."

The source further added, "They were formal with each other and stories of them bonding and not being competitive had been cooked up. A professional rivalry does exist between them. Both actresses are trying their luck in Hollywood with Priyanka being part of American TV show Quantico and Hollywood film Baywatch while Deepika has a release opposite Vin Diesel."
