She said, "For me, it's about pushing my boundaries where I can create a space for myself, which is aspirational for people around the world. When I went to school in America, there was no Indian on TV or in films unless you were playing a two scene role in a movie. That's all Indian actors were reduced to. I am so happy that when I walk on to the Oscars, I represent my country."
