Ram Gopal Varma Remembers Jayalalithaa! Says He Attended An Award Show Only Because Of Her Presence!
Film-maker Ram Gopal Varma revealed that he attended an award show in 1991 just because CM Jayalalithaa was the one who would be on stage giving him the Best Director Award for Kshana Kshanam.
Film-maker Ram Gopal Varma revealed that he never attends Award Shows but in 1991, he attended the award show just because Jayalalithaa was present and she handed over the 'Best Director Award' to him on stage which he truly cherishes even now!
RGV took to Twitter and posted, "The only time ever I went to a award function..Recieving from the one and only Amma, the best director award for Kshana kshanam," and posted a picture of Amma with the capton, "Beauty+Grace+Dignity."
Ram Gopal Varma also got emotional about the death of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa and tweeted, "Can't imagine the state of Tamilnadu without Jayalalitha ..Super Star to Super politician..Woww what a journey?"
The film-maker received the Best Director Award in 1991 for the film 'Kshana Kshanam' and feels blessed to have recieved it from the Iron Lady herself. Also, the entire country is mourning the death of Jayalalithaa and several Bollywood stars and film-makers have posted their condolences on their respective social media handles.
