It's
a
known
fact
that
Badminton
runs
in
Padukone's
blood.
Deepika
Padukone's
father,
the
legendary
Prakash
Padukone
became
the
first
Indian
to
win
the
All-England
championship
in
1980.
The
actress
also
played
badminton
for
Karnataka
at
the
junior
level
before
opting
for
a
career
in
acting.
But
what's
more
awesome
is
that
the
ace
shuttler
Saina
Nehwal
thinks
that
Deepika
would
be
perfect
to
play
her
character
in
reel
life!
Calling
her
a
"good" badminton
player,
Saina
said
Deepika
is
apt
and
can
do
full
justice
to
the
character.
"Her
father
has
been
a
badminton
player
and
I
have
seen
her
playing
badminton.
She
used
to
play
really
good.
She
can
do
justice
to
the
role
and
I
really
wish
she
can
do
the
role,"
Saina
said
during
the
NDTV
Indian
of
the
Year
award.
Deepika,
who
was
also
present
at
the
ceremony,
said
she
would
love
to
play
her
onscreen.
"We
have
played
together
many
a
times
and
she
was
always
way
better
than
me.
I
think
we
had
fun
times
together.
Anything
for
the
love
of
sport
and
especially
for
badminton,"
the
Bajirao
Mastani
actress
said.
