Yes, you read it right. So far, we were thinking that the then-crowned Miss India, Sangeeta Bijlani was Salman Khan's first girlfriend. But a recent revelation made by Bharati Jaffrey, who is the mother of Shaheen, claims that her daughter was Salman's first love.

During an informal chat with Spotboye, Shaheen's mother, Bharati says, "Shaheen is very warm and loving. I've always felt like her mother. Please avoid calling me stepmother. That wouldn't be fair to either her or me. Shaheen and Salman knew each other ever since they were teenagers. We'd treat Salman like family, often ordering him to get us our morning loaf of bread from the nearby bakery. And Salman's family also treated Shaheen like their one of their own. It was taken for granted that they'd get married some day."

"We never bring up Salman's name ever with Shaheen now," Bharati Jaffrey stated emotionally. "It didn't work out and so be it. Whatever happens, happens for the best, doesn't it?"
