Not many people know that superstar Shahrukh Khan and actor Manoj Bajpayee are childhood friends. And Shahrukh Khan considers him to be one of the finest actors.

In a candid chat with IANS, Shahrukh Khan talked about Manoj Bajpayee,"We have been working together since childhood in theatre and I have got to learn a lot from Manoj. We have done lot of 'masti'. I feel the proudest and I'm not being patronising... he is one of the finest actors and I wish him all the best.''

Shahrukh Khan further added, "He's more of a friend and we've always been like that," Shahrukh told Manoj, when he came to promote his upcoming film Traffic.

"Your last film 'Aligarh' was superb, I couldn't call because I was busy. And this film (Traffic) is even better," he added.

Both Shahrukh Khan and Manoj Bajpayee were a part of Barry John's theatre group in Delhi during their struggling years. The two had then worked together in Veer Zaara, which was directed by Yash Chopra.

"Shahrukh is a very old friend of mine, a childhood friend. I feel that our director Rajesh Pillai, who passed away recently... it's his blessing that such good things are happening. I Thank Shahrukh for coming during the promotion of Traffic," said Manoj Bajpayee.

The film features an ensemble cast consisting of Manoj Bajpayee, Jimmy Shergill, Prosenjit Chatterjee, Parambrata Chatterjee, Divya Dutta, Amol Parashar and debutant Richa Panai.

Traffic will hit the screens on 6th May.
