Shahrukh Khan: Happy That I Stood Up To The Expectations In Dear Zindagi

For the first time, the audiences saw Shahrukh Khan playing the role of a love guru and not actually romancing the lead actress in Dear Zindagi. Expectations were high and Shahrukh Khan didn't disappoint the audiences with his wit and charm. SRK was quoted as saying,

"I am happy the film has turned out well. Its Gauri Shinde and Alia Bhatt's film. I am a small part of it. I had to make sure I stand up to their expectations and I am very happy I could do that," said SRK at the Star Screen Awards.

Dear Zindagi has Shahrukh Khan as Dr Jehangir, an unconventional therapist who helps a budding cinematographer (Alia) gain a new perspective on life. The role itself is something new and refreshing and so is the movie. The film ended up doing well at the box office and received lots of positive reviews.

Shahrukh Khan is now geared up for the release of his upcoming film Raees which would hit the theatres on Republic Day in 2017. Raees would clash with Hrithik Roshan starrer Kaabil and both the teams have wished each other well.
