Shraddha Kapoor Wins Over Katrina Kaif & Deepika Padukone, Read Why!

The New Year 2016, has brought a lot of cheer to Shraddha Kapoor, as director Mohit Suri, has roped in the actress to play the female lead role in the upcoming flick titled, Half Girlfriend.

Mohit Suri, at first wanted Deepika Padukone and Katrina Kaif to be a part of the movie, as both the starlets did not give their nod, the director contacted Parineeti Chopra and Kriti Sanon. However, Shraddha Kapoor has bagged the role and is confirmed to play the lead role in the Half Girlfriend.

Half Girlfriend, is expected to hit the floors soon and would be shot at various locations such as Bihar, New Delhi and New York. Mohit Suri, was recently in New York City to scout locations for the movie.

Shraddha Kapoor starrer, Half Girlfriend, is based on a novel by Chetan Bhagat named ‘Half Girlfriend'. The story revolves around a boy from Bihar who falls in love with an English speaking uptown, classy and elegant girl.

Half Girlfriend, would showcase how the class system, between English speaking people and non English speaking people works in India. The movie, is expected to release sometime in 2016.
