We all know about the recent interview of Sunny Leone with Bhupendra Chaubey that went viral on the social media. Many Bollywood celebrities supported Sunny for facing such weird questions and the recent one to join the list is Sonam Kapoor.

When Sonam Kapoor was asked to comment on the entire issue, she told Pinkvilla, ''My mother told me about this incident. Someone had shared it on Facebook and that is where she saw. Then she asked me if I have seen this interview and whether journalists ask me also such questions. I was appalled and disgusted with the interview. I couldn't see the entire video and I respect Sunny for being kind enough to sit through it and not being rude."

Sonam Kapoor further added, ''His open letter was worst. It was gross. I thought of tweeting to Sunny but then later on I thought I shall call her up and talk. What she has done is amazing and applause worthy."

In his open letter Bhupendra Chaubey wrote, ''Many articles assume that I have been judgmental. I fail to understand how. I simply did the job of asking questions, yes which were perhaps moral in nature. But isn't that also the story? I did mention this multiple times in course of the interview that Indians were a bunch of hyper hypocritical people. I am not writing this blog to respond to the critics. But I thought its important to place the facts correctly. In the right context.

''We aren't really going to the cinemas to watch her because she is a star. And I might just add here that I haven't seen any of her Bollywood films. Because I have kids at my place, so I cant watch any of her films in her earlier avatar even if I wanted to. Sunny Leone is a newsmaker in her own right because of what was going on in her past, the circumstances she operates in today and the manner in which she deals with criticism which is bound to come her way,'' he added.
