Sonam Kapoor & Ranbir Kapoor Reunite For Sanjay Dutt's Biopic; Also Revisit Their Controversial Days
Is it going to be awkward for Ranbir Kapoor & Sonam Kapoor to work together in Sanjay Dutt's biopic?
Ranbir Kapoor is all set to reunite with Sonam Kapoor in his life (thankfully, on the professional front). According to a leading daily, it has been confirmed that Sonam will be seen portraying the role of one of the B-town actresses, (whom Mr Dutt had dated in the 90's), in the biopic, directed by Rajkumar Hirani.
A leading daily quoted a source as saying, "Her character is not reflective of any particular woman but is a fictional amalgamation of the many women Dutt dated through the 1980s and 90s."

When Deepika Came Between Ranbir & Sonam..
It is to be said that both Ranbir Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor seemed to have shared an amicable relationship, while shooting for Saawariya. But things turned sour between the duo, when Ranbir harboured feelings for Deepika and decided to move on from Sonam!
When Ranbir Tagged Sonam As 'Not Sexy'
Things went really bad between the two in 2010 when Ranbir Kapoor tagged Sonam Kapoor as 'not sexy' and Sonam Kapoor ended up making several comments against Ranbir Kapoor on Karan Johar's chat show, Koffee With Karan.
'Ranbir Is Not Good BF Material'
Sonam Kapoor shot back at Ranbir Kapoor by saying. "Ranbir is not sexy unless he strips," and then she had said that, "Ranbir is a great friend, but not good boyfriend material. I wonder how Deepika held on to him for so long!"
'Ranbir Isn't Sexy At All'
Not only was this, in a magazine, speaking about Ranbir, Sonam was quoted as saying, "Are girls drooling over him (Ranbir) Really? Ranbir isn't sexy at all. Ranbir is a mama's boy; his mother cuts his toenails for him!"
Sonam Refused To Apologise
In an interview with TOI, Sonam had clearly refused to apologise for her remarks against Ranbir on Karan Johar's show and had said, "Well, it was Ranbir who started it all by saying 'Sonam is not sexy'. I just shot back and said 'Ranbir is not sexy'. If a man says it, chalta hai. But when a woman says the same thing, nahi chalta hai? That's sexist! Why should I say 'sorry' to him? Just because his father made a hue and cry about it? If Ranbir apologises to me, I shall too."
Sonam Is A Drama Queen
When Ranbir was asked what he has to say about Sonam's comment, he had said, " I didn't feel that bad. I know Sonam since childhood. She is a bit of a drama queen but I like her. If she doesn't find me sexy it's okay, she has the courage to say that on a public platform."
Sonam Retaliated..
Unable to keep quiet, Sonam retaliated, "I am an actress, darling. If I don't do drama, who else will? It's good to be a drama queen. Most of the biggest actresses have done a lot of drama."
'I Don't Know Ranbir Anymore'
In the same interview with TOI, Sonam had also said, "I don't know Ranbir anymore. He is not my friend now. I did have offers to act opposite him but I turned them down. And that's simply because I thought that those roles did not suit me. If I get something nice, I'll act with him. It isn't necessary for me to be friends with all my actors."
Sonam and Ranbir have had a frosty equation since then. Thankfully, in June 2013, at a party hosted by Arjun Kapoor, the duo kissed and made up!
As both of the Kapoor kids have grown up, we just hope that yet another episode of the long drawn Ranbir-Sonam saga doesn't begin during the shoot of the film and the duo would rather concentrate on their roles, as this biopic has already raised our expectations! What about you guys? Let us know!
