Sujoy Ghosh Confirms A Sequel To Radhika Apte’s Short Film Ahalya!

Remember Radhika Apte's mysterious act in Sujoy Ghosh's short film Ahalya? The movie was a modern take on the age-old story of Ahalya, the wife of sage Gautama Maharishi who was turned into a stone by her angry husband.

However, Sujoy's film was based in a Kolkata mansion where a police officer (Toto Roy Choudhary) arrives to investigate the disappearance of a young model. He is greeted by Ahalya, played by Radhika Apte. Soumitra Chatterjee played her aging artist-husband. The dark twist in the end leave everyone completely stunned!

Now, we hear that Sujoy has started working on a sequel to this short film. Radhika and Soumitra will be reprising their role. However, this time, the plot will be based in a hotel instead.

Sujoy confirmed this latest development to Spotboye and revealed that he has written a bold script keeping Radhika in mind. The film will be shot in February over a two-day schedule.

Meanwhile, the director is currently looking forward to the release of Vidya Balan- Arjun Rampal starrer Kahaani 2 which opens in theatres this Friday.
