A 34-year-old painter named Mukesh Dakia falls to his death while doing his job on the sets of Deepika Padukone starrer Padmavati. Mukesh suffered serious head injuries & was declared dead on arrival.

place

the

Padmavati
on
Christmas
day
as
a
34-year-old
painter
named
Mukesh
Dakia
fell
to
his
death
while
working
on
the
final
touch
ups
on
the
tip
of
a
tomb.
Mukesh,
who
was
busy
painting
on
the
sets
fell
from
a
height
of
five
feet
and
suffered
severe
head
injuries.
He
was
immediately
rushed
to
the
Kokilaben
hospital
and
was
declared
dead
on
arrival.
Deepika
Padukone
took
to
Twitter
and
said
that
she
is
shocked
and
saddened
by
the
news
of
Mukesh
Dakia's
death,

released
a
statement
saying,
"What
took
place
was
extremely
unfortunate
and

unforseen.

the
authorities.

deceased's
family
in
this
time
of
grief."
As
per
a
report,
the
police
have
filed
an
accidental
death
report
(ADR)
against
the
film-makers
and
are
probing
if
there
was
a
negligence
of
safety
from
their
part.
Deputy
Commissioner
of
Police,
Kiran
Kumar
Chavan
was
quoted
as
saying,
"We
have
filed
an
accidental
death
report
(ADR)
and
are
probing
the
matter
-
how
he
fell
from
that
height.
If
any
safety
negligence
is
found,
we
will
deal
with
it
strictly."
