Veteran Actor Dilip Kumar Hospitalised! Complains Of Swelling In Legs

Veteran actor Dilip Kumar was admitted to Leelavati Hospital in Mumbai on Wednesday morning after he complained of swelling in one of his legs. "He has been hospitalised today (Wednesday) morning. He complained of swelling in his right leg," Saira Banu's manager Murshid told IANS.

Talking to Bombay Times, Dilip Kumar's wife Saira Banu said, "I was anyway planning to take him for a routine check-up, but the swelling alarmed me. He was also complaining of cold and cough. I don't ignore anything even remotely suspicious when it comes to Dilip saab's health."

She further commented, "The doctors are examining him; he's under observation. He's very comfortable with the team here. I just hope there is nothing serious. Inshallah, I will take him home before his birthday on Sunday."

The 94-year-old actor is under observation. The thespian was born as Mohammad Yusuf Khan but adopted Dilip Kumar as his screen name. Dilip Kumar was last seen in the film "Qila" in 1998. The actor was awarded the Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 1994 and the Padma Vibhushan in 2015.

Dilip Kumar will be celebrating his 94th birthday on December 11, 2016.
