Here's Why Aishwarya Rai Bachchan Does Not Want To Join The Social Media

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is one of India's most loved celebrities. While other stars use the social networking sites to connect with their fans these days Aishwarya likes to stay away from this bandwagon.

She recently revealed the reason behind this decision to The Week, ''I don't feel the need to be there. When the while Twitter and Facebook trend started out, it was more about making statements and adding followers, I didn't connect with it.''

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who received a lot of praise for her portrayal of Saba in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil also said in the same interview that she did ADHM for her friends, "ADHM was with friends and for friends. When Karan came to me with the script, It was a yes already."

Aish also spoke about her initial days in Bollywood. She said, "I have always followed my heart. I come from an academic background and choosing movies as a career was a serious decision for me.''

The diva added, ''I could have started my journey with a glamorous role but I chose Iruvar as my first film. I could have done the usual song, dance and looked glamorous but I didn't want the film to be all about me. I was excited to work with Mani Ratnam on an unconventional debut."
