We are all crazy about our film personalities and there's nothing wrong in that. But, when a fan crosses his/her limits of obsession, the situation does get uncomfortable for the film stars and something similar happened to Vidya Balan, when she was at the Kolkata airport with the producer and director of 'Begum Jaan'.
Recently, the Kahaani actress was manhandled at the Kolkata airport and while talking to an entertainment portal, she revealed the unpleasant incident and here's what happened:
It All Started With A Selfie
It all started, when a fan approached Vidya Balan for a selfie. Being her sweet self, Vidya didn't say ‘no' to her fan and obliged to his request.
A Fan Touched Vidya, Inappropriately
Things turned worse, when the fan tried to get too close to Vidya, and put his arm around her without even asking for her permission, leaving Vidya uncomfortable.
Vidya Warned The Fan
Much to her surprise, Vidya sternly asked the man not to do it. Even Vidya's manager warned the fan when he didn't take his hand off Vidya.
Vidya Lashed Back At Him
During his second attempt, Vidya confronted him by saying. "What do you think you are doing? This is wrong." But he continued to ask for a selfie and by then the actress had enough of him and lashed back at him saying, "No you can't, behave yourself!"
‘We’re Not Pubic Property’
Recalling the incident, Vidya told Spotboye, "When a stranger puts an arm around you, be it a man or a woman you get uncomfortable because they are intruding into your personal space. We are public figures, not public property."
Vidya’s Work Front
Yesterday (March 14, 2017), the much awaited trailer of Vidya Balan's film, Begum Jaan was released and and it has been only garnering praises. The fiery avatar of the actress has left us stunned and we can't wait enough to watch the film!
Vidya Balan On Her ‘Begum Jaan’ Character
Vidya says, "The place where she comes from she abuses a lot and easily. It's no big deal. When I was playing the role there was no apprehension with regards to the language. I can't be Begum Jaan and speak shayarana Urdu."
Vidya plays the role of a brothel's madam in the film, and we gotta praise the make-up artist for her fiery avatar!
Talking about the same, Vidya says, "There is no contribution of mine in it (the look). Srijit had a certain vision for Begum Jaan in mind. She is from Punjab, so the costumes were made from fabrics sourced from authentic places."
"The make-up and hairstylist then gave me a unibrow. I feel fortunate to work with a team where I didn't have to worry about the look. It is all of the team and their work, very little of me."
