Akshay Kumar's Jolly LLB 2 Lands In Legal Trouble! Advocate Wants LLB Removed From The Title

Advocate Ajaykumar S Waghmare files a petition to the Bombay High Court demanding the word 'LLB' to be removed from Akshay Kumar's upcoming film 'Jolly LLB 2'.

An advocate in Mumbai named Ajaykumar S Waghmare, has filed a petition to the Bombay High Court demanding that Akshay Kumar's upcoming film 'Jolly LLB 2' must drop the word 'LLB' from its title as he believes it sends a wrong message to the people about lawyers and their work ethics.

As per a report in The Hindu, the advocate was quoted as saying that it's a "deliberate attempt to malign the reputation of the Indian legal profession." Not only does Mr. Waghmare take offence of the film's title, he has also opposed to Akshay Kumar (dressed in lawyer's suit) dancing around the court premises and playing the game of cards, which is unacceptable to him.

Mr. Waghmare, in the petition has also requested the Bombay High Court to ban the trailer being played on television as it sets a bad name to the profession. The court will most likely take up the case and give its judgement tomorrow, January 24, 2017.

The surprising part is that, Arshad Warsi's 'Jolly LLB' had the word 'LLB' right in its title and nobody had a problem. The film also went on to receive a National Award and gained more traction in return. We wonder why all this fuss about the movie's title all of a sudden? What do you guys think?
