Akshay Kumar Announces His New Film Titled Padman With A Quirky Poster!

Akshay Kumar is all set to kick-start the new year on a promising note. The khiladi who is on a professional high after delivering a string of hit films last year, has many exciting films lined for 2017.

Akshay took to his Twitter handle to reveal the names of his upcoming films and the one which caught our attention the most is Padman! Yes, you heard it right! The actor finally revealed the name of his new film which will be helmed by R. Balki.

The poster featuring a sanitary pad gives a hint to the plot. If reports are to be believed then it could be a biopic on Arunachalam Muruganantham, who is famously known as the India's 'Menstruation Man.' Check out the quirky first look here...

Arunachalam Muruganantham, who belongs to Tamil Nadu, is a social entrepreneur who invented the low-cost sanitary pad making machines and has innovated grass-root mechanisms for generating awareness about traditional unhygienic practices around menstruation in rural India. He became one of the 100 Most Influential People in the world and was awarded Padma Shri by Government of India, in 2016.
