Anil Kapoor's Nayak To Get A Sequel, Film To Go On Floors This Year!

Here's some good news for all Anil Kapoor fans! Remember the film 'Nayak' which had him play the role of Shivaji Rao who gets a chance to become a Chief Minister for a day to take on the corrupt politicians and officials? Well, news is that the film is all set to get a sequel which is slated to go on the floors this year.

Nayak 2 will be produced by Eros International and the script is being writen by K.V Vijendra Prasad, the man who penned blockbuster films like Baahubali and Bajirangi Bhaijaan in recent times.

Last year there were reports of Nayak 2 happening soon. Deepak Mukut of Eros International had revealed back then that the sequel will be a political satire with romance as the backdrop. It will take off from where the original one left but with a completely different story.

We hope that Anil is a part of this film too since we absolutely loved his performance. Also, it would be quite interesting to see if Nayak's leading lady Rani Mukherji makes a comeback in the sequel too.

Meanwhile, Anil Kapoor will also be seen in Anees Bazmee's Mubarakan which has him sharing screen space with his nephew Arjun Kapoor for the first time.
