The Baahubali director SS Rajamouli confirms talking to Aamir Khan about his dream project ‘Mahabharata’.
SS Rajamouli is one popular director, thanks to Baahubali! His 'larger than life' project is something that makes him stand out among other directors. His upcoming film, Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, is already in the tremendous buzz but what else is keeping him in the limelight is his other project, 'Mahabharata'.
Yes, you read it right! Rumours were rife that Rajamouli is planning to cast Aamir Khan and Amitabh Bachchan in his dream project 'Mahabharata' and in an interview to BollywoodLife, the director just confirmed the news and here's what he said:

"I want to do Mahabharata and I have said that many times but definitely not immediately after Baahubali. Mahabharata is such an epic that I need to up my craftsmanship to handle such a subject."
Rajmouli Confirms Meeting Aamir Khan
"Yeah I met Aamir ji once quite sometime back, We spoke about Mahabharata. I know that he's very much interested in doing the film."

"But as I said, at present I am not thinking anything beyond Baahubali. Mahabharata is definitely not after this," concluded the Baahubali director.
Interestingly, SRK Also Wants To Make Mahabharata
On an interesting note, a couple of days ago, Shahrukh Khan had also mentioned that he wants to make a cinematic adaptation of the Hindu epic Mahabharata.

"It's my dream to make the Mahabharat for the screen. It's been for years now. But I don't think I have the budget to do that. I would love to do it, but I don't think I could afford to," had said SRK.
SRK Has To Collaborate With A Foreign Producer
"Unless I collaborate. But not with Indian producers. There have to be international producers on board for this one because Indian producers and Indian films have a limited market. This one has to go out into the international markets. So you have to collaborate with someone who's international."
It Should Be On The Scale Of Baahubali
SRK further added, "You don't take up a subject like the Mahabharat and make it any less. It should be on the scale of a Baahubali or an even larger one."
Coming back to SS Rajamouli, he is currently gearing up for Baahubali: The Conclusion, which is the continuation of Baahubali that left us with the most asked question: Kattappa ne Baahubali ko kyon maara?
