Deepika Padukone & Salman Khan Are The Highest Tax Paying Actors!

Deepika Padukone is now the highest tax paying actress for the financial year 2016-17, overtaking Kareena Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. It is reported that Deepika has paid a whopping sum of Rs 10 Crores in advance tax while Alia paid 4.3 Crores and Kareena paid 3.9 Crores.

Apart from the actresses, the actors have paid a jaw dropping amount to the IT dept and Salman Khan has become the higest tax paying actor for the fiancial year 2016-17 by paying a mammoth sum of Rs 44.50 Crores as advance tax. Akshay Kumar paid 29 Crores and Hrithik Roshan paid 23 Crores, respectively. The most shocking news is that Kapil Sharma paid Rs 23 Crores in tax for the period 2016-17.

Also, the Income Tax Department refused to share details of Shahrukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai and Amitabh Bachchan's tax returns as the trio are under investigation in the Panama paper leak case for illegally siphoning money to tax havens.

Aamir Khan paid 14 Crores as advance tax for the year 2016-17 and the film-makers have shown a 140 Crores profit for the film Dangal. So Salman Khan and Deepika Padukone are proudly the highest tax paying actor/actress in the country.
