Disheartening! Haraamkhor Film-makers Receive Death Threats
Haraamkhor film-maker Anurag Kashyap receives death threats for the controversial content in the film. Haraamkhor will see Nawazuddin Siddiqui, a school teacher falling in love with his girl student.
It
looks
like
Anurag
Kashyap's
upcoming
controversial
movie
'Haraamkhor'
has
not
been
liked
by
the
moral
police
as
the
film-makers
have
been
receiving
death
threats
through
emails
from
various
activists
who
claim
to
be
self
authorized
moral
police.
The
name
of
the
movie
sounds
harsh
and
the
story
shows
Nawazuddin
Siddiqui,
a
school
teacher
having
a
love
affair
with
his
girl
student.
Talking
about
the
threats,
co-producer
Guneet
Monga
said,
"As
a
creative
person
in
the
film
industry,
it's
disheartening
to
see
people
make
judgments
of
films,
actors
and
content
without
actually
having
seen
it
themselves.
Getting
such
messages
and
emails
from
random
self
authorized
moral
police
really
needs
to
stop
but
I
guess
people
will
do
what
they
have
to
do."
He
further
commented,
"We
have
got
our
judgment
and
the
film
will
release.
We
will
keep
an
action
prepared
in
case
if
there's
any
intentional
harm
being
caused
to
our
film,
however
currently
we
don't
wish
to
dig
in
further
and
give
such
individuals
and
groups
more
reason
to
be
unreasonable."
Haraamkhor
was
first
banned
by
the
CBFC
for
its
controversial
content
and
the
film-makers
appealed
to
the
FCAT
(Film
Certification
Appellate
Tribunal)
and
won
the
case.
The
film
is
all
set
to
be
released
on
13th
January
2017.
