After the debacle of his last outing Calendar Girls, director Madhur Bhandarkar is currently working on his next film titled Indu Sarkar which is touted to be a drama revolving around the Emergency invoked by the Indira Gandhi-led government in 1975.
Since a very long time there have been speculations doing the rounds that Neil Nitin Mukesh will be essaying the role of late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi's younger son, the late Sanjay Gandhi in the movie. Well, it turns out that the news was indeed true and here's the proof!
We came across this still from the film doing the rounds on Twitter and boy, one just can't miss the Neil's striking resemblance to late Sanjay Gandhi. Actress Supriya Vinod is essaying the role of late Indira Gandhi. The film also stars Kirti Kulhari as a stammering poetess who rebels against the system.
Further a Hindustan Times report quoted a source saying, "Neil has been doing a lot of reading for the film to ensure he is able to deliver what the film of this magnitude demands. Getting his on-screen look took close to six months to perfect, with prosthetic make-up experts flown in from abroad."
Indu Sarkar had hit the shooting floors last year in December and is slated to release in mid-2017. Are you guys excited for this film?
