For all those who complain about Shraddha Kapoor mostly essaying the role of a girl next door in her films, here's a welcome change! The trailer of her upcoming film 'Haseena Parkar' is out and it does manage to catch your attention.
The film directed by Apoorva Lakhia is based on the life-story of Haseena Parkar, late sister of the dreaded underworld don Dawood Ibraham. The makers released the first trailer of the film this afternoon...
Shraddha As Haseena Parkar
The film charts the journey of Haseena Parkar (Shraddha Kapoor) from a young girl to a mother of four to the Godmother of Nagpada across four decades in the Maximum City.
A Never-Before Seen Avatar
Who would have imagined that Shraddha who mostly plays coy on-screen could pull off such a powerful character!
While the actress impresses, her accent as the older Haseena in few scenes from the trailer sticks out as a sore thumb. But then, maybe it's too early to judge the book by just looking at its cover!
Siddhant Kapoor Plays Dawood Ibrahim
The actor will be seen playing Shraddha's sibling on reel too. Siddhant revealed that it took him a year to prep up for his role of Dawood Ibrahim.
Sonakshi Sinha Was The First Choice For The Film
At the trailer launch event, director Apoorva Lakia said, "Sonakshi Sinha was first approached for Haseena Parkar. But because of delays and date issues, we moved on. My next choice was Shraddha Kapoor as she can play both a 17 and a 40 year old."
