Not Kriti Or Saiyami, It’s Diana Penty In Farhan Akhtar’s Lucknow Central!

The casting woes for the leading lady for Farhan Akhtar's Lucknow Central finally seems to have come to an end. If the latest reports are to be believed, then the makers have finally zeroed down Diana Penty for the female lead.

Kriti Sanon was the first choice to play a NGO worker, but the actress later opted out of the film citing date issues. Later, Saiyami Kher too was approached for the film. But it looks like things didn't work out and the role finally landed in Diana's lap.

A leading daily quoted a source saying, "After the makers roped in Saiyami, they felt that she isn't best suited for the role either. Hence they replaced her with Diana."

An Asian Age report further added that producer Nikhil Advani confirmed that Diana has been cast in the film.

Lucknow Central has Farhan playing a prisoner who starts a band in jail to re-discover pride, self-confidence and a reason to wake up every morning. The film also stars Angad Bedi.
