Actor Om Puri's Ashes Immersed In Versova Beach!

Veteran actor Om Puri breathed his last on January 6, 2017 as he suffered from a cardiac arrest in his sleep and passed away at the age of 66. His passing away sent shock waves across the film industry and celebs poured in their condolences on his demise.

Om Puri's ashes were immersed in Versova beach on January 15 by his teenage son Ishaan Puri and was accompanied by his mother Nandita and actor Manoj Pahwa, who is a close friend of the Puri family.

The actor lived in Versova for close to three decades and used to have a jog every morning at the Versova beach. Since Om Puri loved the place so much, his family decided to the complete the final rituals in the same area.

A source close to the Puri family was quoted as saying, "Ishaan's mundan (tonsure ceremony) was heartbreaking for Nandita. She hasn't been able to get out of the shock of Om's death. He was her umbrella and she feels Om Puri orphaned without him."
