That's Sad! Ram Gopal Varma CONFIRMS No Sequel For Aamir Khan's Rangeela

A few days back, the grapevine was abuzz with the rumours that Ram Gopal Varma is planning a sequel to his cult film, the Aamir Khan- Urmila Matodkar-Jackie Shroff starrer Rangeela with fresh faces.

Unfortunately, here's some heartbreaking news for all Rangeela fans! The filmmaker has now confirmed that there is no sequel happening yet. At the trailer launch of his new film Sarkar 3, when RGV was asked about Rangeela 2, the filmmaker quipped, "No that isn't true."

Way back in 1995 when Rangeela released, it turned Urmila Matodkar in an overnight sensation and was a career defining point for Aamir Khan too. The film received critical acclaim and its chartbuster music still holds a special place in our hearts.

Meanwhile, at the trailer launch of Sarkar 3, RGV said that his upcoming film doesnt have anything that will upset the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) chief Pahlaj Nihalani. When quizzed if he fears any trouble from the CBFC, he said, "No not at all. I dont think Sarkar 3 has any material which should anger Pahlaj Nihalani."
