Randeep Hooda: Happy To See Haryanvi Stories In Bollywood!
Randeep Hooda who was born & raised in the state of Haryana says that he's happy to see Bollywood showcasing films about Haryana and touching the subject of sports.
The sudden rise of Bollywood films associated with the state of Haryana, has made Randeep Hooda happy. Films such as Tanu Weds Manu Returns, Sultan and Dangal have been associated with Haryana, which is Randeep Hooda's birthplace.
The actor revealed, "The Haryanvi attitude is dabang (fearless). People's attention is drawn towards it now. I am proud of being a Haryanvi and happy to be part of one of such films. I am happy that the sports culture, tough lifestyle and innocence of Haryana is reaching to people."

The film Tanu Weds Manu Returns saw Kangana Ranaut playing the role of an athlete from Haryana, Salman Khan's Sultan was based on a portrayal of a wrestler from Haryana too and Aamir Khan's Dangal was also based on the wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat and his daughters from Haryana. Sports has been an integral part of the state and Bollywood has showcased it to the country.
Randeep Hooda will next be seen in the film Battle of Saragarhi, which is based on the real life incident which took place in the year 1857 between the British Indian Army and the Afghan Orakzai tribesmen, in the North-West Frontier Province (now Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan).
