Actress Raveena Tandon said that superstar Salman Khan, opposite whom she made her film debut with the 1991 entertainer Patthar Ke Phool, has always stood by her in times of need when others turned their back.

During an appearance on "My Life My Story", Raveena also talked about her fights with Salman Khan.
Salman & I Used To Fight A Lot
She said, "Salman and I used to fight a lot on trivial issues... We have fought over a bubble gum! But honestly, Salman is a fantastic person at heart.''
Salman Stood By My Side
Raveena Tandon added, ''If I have to name one person who has stood by my side as a friend, it would be him.''
Salman Has Always Fulfilled His Promise
"All others turn their back in times of need, but Salman has always fulfilled his promise as a friend. He was always there for me when I needed him."
I Expected To Be Pampered
In an interview to a daily Raveena had revealed, ''I remember that I was on the sets of Patthar Ke Phool and we were having a photoshoot done, so I was very excited that day and expected to be pampered on my special day.''
Salman Blew The Gum On My Face
''But I recall that on that particular day while I was doing the photoshoot, Salman was chewing a gum and he blew the gum on my face.''
The Gum Just Stuck On My Nose
''The gum just stuck on my nose and we both then got into a very kiddish fight then. I told him that I wouldn't forgive him until I blow the gum onto his nose as well.''
It Was So Funny
It was so funny that I still recall that day sometimes and laugh my guts out.''
On ''My Life My Story", Raveena revealed that while Salman was looking for his leading lady in Patthar Ke Phool, he had visited the sets of her ad film to evaluate her work. What followed was a series of calls from Salim Khan and G.P. Sippy to her father, asking him to convince Raveena for the film. Raveena then agreed to do the film.
