Even after so many years, Chhaiya Chhaiya is still one of the most iconic songs of Bollywood. It was one of its kind as the whole song was shot on the top of a moving train.
But you will be shocked to know that shooting that song was so difficult that many people fell from the train while filming it. Read some unknown things that Shahrukh Khan told a leading web portal about it, while promoting his film Raees on a train.

Everybody Was Tied On The Train Except Me
‘'You know except me everybody was tied on the train that's exactly why I could do the jumps. The dancers were all tied down that's why it was very difficult. The train was slow it wasn't so fast but many times those overhead bridges use to come and there was no communication.''

It Was Very Scary
‘'I remember Farah and the rest carried a white cloth. Every time they put it up it was meant to stop the song and just bend down. It was very scary. Because even when you lie down it was like you could literally hear the bridges pass you."

People Inside The Train Fell
"That song was shot guerrilla style. A couple of people inside the train fell. You know the train would stop and suddenly start. It was very difficult to shoot the song.''

SRK Talks About His Favourite Train Journey
"I did travel long journeys when I was younger. I did one and I remember it was funny. I was an usher at a Pankaj Udhas concert and earned Rs 50. With this money, me and my friends, wanted to go and see Taj Mahal. We all saved money and went there. At Taj Mahal I remember they used to give that pink Lassi, and we all were hungry.''

His Lassi Had A Bumble Bee In It
"I remember the lassi was very big and I had it. However, I later realized there was a bumble bee in it! So, the whole way back from Agra to Delhi I was sitting in the general compartment and throwing up."

When He Got Slapped Inside A Train
"My second journey was with my friends to Mumbai, and I remember we had our seats reserved. We all know how after a certain time the berth system doesn't really exist and the trains become local trains. Suddenly people started coming in and pushing me. There was this one lady who wanted me to get up.''
''She got very angyy at me. I didn't understand what she was saying. She was shouting at me in Marathi. I didn't know what to say. I said this is my seat can I also sit, but she started shouting. I got up and some other guy sat. I said this is my seat so she slapped me. So I quietly stood outside.''
On Missing AbRam On His Train Journey
"I don't know how inconvenient it would be but I would have loved to take AbRam with me. He is full of fun. He was with me In Dubai and he had fun. He doesn't trouble me and everybody is kind to him including the media.''

Abram Is Used To Paparazzi
‘'He is used to paparazzi and being with my team and me. He has gotten used to people around me. He travelled with me to Imtiaz Ali's set. He waves to the media. Last night I took a flight from Dubai and people wanted to take pictures with me. He wanted to be a part of every picture."

On Romance
"Romance requires a little bit of formality, space, enjoyment. From the days of walking on the beach holding hands, to under star lit night to full moon night. All the connotation of romance need time and formality."

I Am Too Old For Romantic Films Now
‘'I think I am too old for a romantic film now, of that genre. May be the youngsters will have to find language which Has formality but still of today."
Shahrukh Khan also revealed that his favourite way to travel is to fly private, "I like the flights. I'm not trying to be elitist but normally I do travel private and it really gives me some time to myself. Even if you take a commercial flight, people want to come to meet you... and by nature I am the kinds who won't say no. So that doesn't become your time. So, whenever I'm travelling private by myself - like when I flew to see my son in New York, it was nice.''

He added, ''I can read a book, listen to music, take out my laptop and watch a new series or write - I do write when I'm travelling a lot. I find that time really nice to write. Flying is the only time I get to myself. Because when you're shooting so much, you're being somebody else on the set.. so you barely get any time to just be yourself. You're always a certain type at work - you're coming to the sets, you have to learn your lines, you have to play your part, so we hardly get time to be just us..."
