Sonam Kapoor's Neerja Defeats All Films Of 2016! Achieves A New Record
Sonam Kapoor's Neerja becomes the highest 'Return On Investment' film of 2016 beating the likes of Salman Khan's Sultan and Akshay Kumar's Airlift and Housefull 3.
Sonam Kapoor's Neerja has come out as a winner breaking all the records in terms of 'return on investment' compared to every other Bollywood film of 2016. Neerja is the most profitable film of the year 2016 with retrospect to its invested amount vs returns. The film beats Salman Khan's Sultan and Akshay Kumar's Airlift and Housefull 3.
Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh revealed the information by saying, "Neerja is a huge hit in terms of returns on investment. The film went from strength to strength with each passing day at the box office and also the fact that the film did remarkable business in its lifetime. Revenue generated from overseas and non theatrical avenues have also added to the profits. Sonam Kapoor was simply remarkable in the film. She had transformed herself. I didn't realise it was Sonam Kapoor. She was Neerja. It's her most accomplished performance to date."

Another trade expert, Komal Nahta revealed that Neerja's 'cost vs returns' is the best for 2016, "Sonam Kapoor played Neerja so convincingly that one is almost constrained to say that she brought the deceased braveheart airhostess alive! Great acting, great film.... both won't be forgotten very easily! Plus, it is one of the big hits of 2016 when we consider cost versus profit figures!"
Now that's a record Sonam Kapoor will be proud of. The actress is currently shooting for Rhea Kapoor's directorial debut 'Veerey Di Shaadi' and the film also stars Kareena Kapoor and Richa Chadha.
