While Swara Bhaskar is gearing up for the release of her upcoming film, Anaarkali of Aarah which has her playing the role of an erotic singer, the grapevine is abuzz with the rumours that the actress had turned down Aanand L Rai's offer to play the role of Shahrukh Khan's mother in his next which has him essaying a dwarf.
A few reports even suggested that Swara made it clear to the director that she loved SRK and wants to romance him, and not play the role of his sister or daughter.
Now, as per a Pinkvilla report, the actress has revealed the story behind this news and was quoted saying, "It was jokingly offered to me... The report is a conversation between Shahrukh sir, Aanand Rai sir and me from Aanand sir's b'day party. The role was offered in banter and jest and turned down in seriousness.. :) That's all!"
The trailer of Anaarkali of Aarah has been receiving word of appreciation from all corners. However, a few leaked scenes from the movie have found their way to the Internet and the makers have even lodged a FIR regarding the same at Malviya police station in Delhi.
Meanwhile, talking about Shahrukh Khan's film, there are reports that Rai has finalised Deepika Padukone and Katrina Kaif as his leading ladies. Though an official announcement is still awaited.
