The 64th National Film Awards: Akshay Kumar Wins Best Actor For Rustom, Best Film Goes To Neerja!

The 64th National Film Awards were announced today on April 7, 2017 at the National Media Centre in New Delhi and Akshay Kumar has come out as winner by bagging the Best Actor Award for Rustom and Sonam Kapoor's Neerja has won the Best Hindi Film Award.

Neerja director Atul Kasbekar reacted to winning the National Film Award by saying "I am in shock" while speaking to News18. Also Pink director Shoojit Sircar opened by by saying, I am thankful to the jury and want to thank my entire team." Also, Priyanka Chopra's productional Marathi debut film Ventilator bagged the Best Editing Award and the Best Director Award - Rajesh Mapuskarfor a Marathi film.
