Dabboo Ratnani's recent calendar that featured many celebs including Amitabh Bachchan, Shahrukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Priyanka Chopra, became the talk of the town for obvious reasons.
As expected, more than any celeb, it was Disha Patani's photoshoot that grabbed the eyeballs. The actress had gone topless for the calendar photoshoot and looked every bit hot! But many websites and Twitterati claimed that Miss Patani's pose was copied from Jennifer Aniston's iconic GQ photoshoot.
Recently, Deccan Chronicle had a few words with Dabboo Ratnani on the same, and here's what the photographer has to say..

"One can't have copyrights on a pose. The make-up, the lighting, the hair, the clothes and the angle is so different. There are many photos on the Internet, so everything is inspired by something."

He further added, "Photography or art in general, is about interpretation. Just because someone has used a horse in a photoshoot, or a taxi, doesn't mean I can never use them. For instance, this calendar edition has a photo of Amitabh Bachchan posing with a dog on a scooter and a sidecar. "It was inspired by Sholay. But it's the reinvention that makes it what it is."

"Disha is very photogenic. Every year, I feature one debutant. I'm glad I chose her for this year. I'd worked with before, for a brand calendar shoot. I saw great potential and spark in her. And I wanted to do a shoot with her again someday. What better then shooting her for my own calendar?"
