Ayushmann Khurrana has been a part of some really interesting films like Vicky Donor, Dum Laga Ke Haisha, Meri Pyaari Bindu, Shubh Mangal Saavdhan and Bareilly Ki Barfi in the past. Now, the talented actor is all set to enthrall us with yet another impressive act in Sriram Raghavan's AdhaDhun. The film has Ayushmann playing the role of a blind piano player.
Speaking about the film, Sriram told Quint, "Andhadhun is developed from a short film, which I don't want to talk about right now. The short film was recommended by a friend, Hemant Rao. I wanted him to write the script, but then he got the chance to make his own film. After that Arijit and Pooja and Yogesh Chandekar contributed to the film as well. Andhadhun was written a couple of years ago. I had even narrated it to Varun Dhawan along with Badlapur. But Badlapur was ready, and this one wasn't finished."
He further added, "It isn't a sordid story. The pianist is happy with himself and is trying to prepare for a competition when he meets a terrific girl and then another woman and many things happen to him. Among my inspirations was the movie Fargo, as well as the television series based on it - it's a bit macabre, like going down a rabbit hole.
Meanwhile, Aayushmann Khurrana took to his social media sharing an intriguing motion poster announcing the new release date of the film.
Sharing the motion poster, the actor tweeted captioning, " अंधे सिर्फ वोह नहीं होते जो देख नहीं सकते। Presenting the motion poster of #AndhaDhun! @AndhadhunFilm, produced by @Viacom18Movies & @MatchboxPix, is releasing in cinemas near you on 5th October. @radhika_apte #Tabu #SriramRaghavan @ZeeMusicCompany #ManavVij".
