Ever since we've heard that Sanjay Dutt and Madhuri Dixit would be reuniting onscreen after a gap of 21 years for Abhishek Varman's ambitious project 'Kalank', we just can't keep calm. The duo have been a part of various blockbuster films like 'Khalnayak', 'Saajan' and 'Thaanedaar'. Not just that, back then there were strong whispers about an alleged romance blossoming between them, though time and again, both Sanjay and Madhuri refuted these reports. It was even said that the actors parted on an ugly note after their alleged break-up.
Recently, there were reports floating in the media that Sanjay and Madhuri will not be having any scenes together in Kalank. Well folks, it turns out they were mere rumours.
Rejoice, Sanjay Dutt-Madhuri Dixit Fans
While rumours were rife that Sanjay and Madhuri will not be having any scenes together in Kalank, a Mumbai Mirror report stated that the actor-duo shot their portions together, last week, at Chitrakoot Grounds in Andheri.
Sanjay & Madhuri Shoot For A Few Dramatic Scenes Together
A source from the film's team further told Mumbai Mirror, "Sanjay and Madhuri shot a couple of dramatic sequences together over three days with co-stars Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt."
There Was No Awkwardness Between The Rumoured Ex-Lovebirds
According to the source, there was no awkwardness between the former co-stars and the scenes went off smoothly.
Director Abhishek Varman Plans To Wrap Kalank By November-End
The source further told the daily, "Next up, Madhuri is scheduled to shoot her grand mujra song, choreographed by Saroj Khan and Remo D'souza, from September 5 to 7, while Sanjay is yet to wrap up his portions as well. All major scenes will be completed by the month-end."
A Starry Cast
Kalank brings together Sanjay Dutt, Madhuri Dixit, Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, Sonakshi Sinha and Aditya Roy Kapur in one frame and that's one of the reasons why it is touted to be one of the most awaited films of 2019.
Earlier while speaking about the film, producer Karan Johar said, "Kalank has been an emotional journey for me! A germ of an idea that I had nearly 15 years ago...a film that was in a pre production stage helmed by my father...am now proud to pass it onto the extremely capable and visionary hands of our director Abhishek Varman! A beautifully structured story by Shibani Bathija and an exceptionally fluid narrative and screenplay by Abhishek."
Kalank is slated to release on 18th April, 2019.
