The
festival
of
Ganesh
Chaturthi
has
already
began.
While
several
of
our
Bollywood
celebrities
are
busy
welcoming
Lord
Ganesha
in
their
homes,
Sonali
Bendre
who
is
miles
away
in
New
York
undergoing
her
treatment
for
cancer,
is
missing
all
the
festivities.
The
actress
recently
took
to
her
Instagram
page
to
share
a
picture
album
of
her
son
Ranveer
as
he
celebrated
the
festival
without
her
in
Mumbai.
Sonali
captioned
the
picture
with
a
heart-warming
message
that
read,
"Sonali
wrote
a
heart-warming
message
with
pictures
where
we
see
her
family
doing
the
aarti.
"Ganesh
Chaturthi
has
always
been
very,
very
close
to
my
heart.
Missing
the
celebrations
back
home,
but
still
feeling
blessed.
Have
a
happy
one,
filled
with
blessings,
love
and
joy."
Have
a
look
at
the
picture
here-
Back
in
July,
Sonali
had
first
shared
the
news
that
she
has
been
diagnosed
with
metastatic
cancer
and
flew
to
New
York
to
undergo
treatment
for
the
same.
Later
the
actress
revealed
how
her
family
including
her
son
Ranveer
took
the
news
in
a
mature
way.
In
another
post,
she
mentioned,
"As
much
as
we
wanted
to
protect
him,
we
knew
it
was
important
to
tell
him
the
full
facts.
We
ve
always
been
open
and
honest
with
him
and
this
time
it
wasn
t
going
to
be
different.
He
took
the
news
so
maturely
and
instantly
became
a
source
of
strength
and
positivity
for
me.
In
some
situations
now,
he
even
reverses
roles
and
takes
on
being
the
parent,
reminding
me
of
things
I
need
to
do!
I
believe
that
it
s
imperative
to
keep
kids
involved
in
a
situation
like
this.
They
are
a
lot
more
resilient
than
we
give
them
credit
for.
It
s
important
to
spend
time
with
them
and
include
them,
rather
than
make
them
wait
on
the
side-lines,
not
being
told
yet
instinctively
knowing
everything.
In
our
effort
to
protect
them
from
the
pain
and
realities
of
life,
we
might
end
up
doing
the
opposite."
Later
her
hubby
Goldie
Behil
had
tweeted,
"Her
husband,
Goldie
Behl,
recently
wrote
on
Twitter,
"Thank
you
all
for
the
love
and
support
for
Sonali.
She
is
stable
and
is
following
her
treatment
without
any
complications.
This
is
a
long
journey
but
we
have
begun
positively."
