After being diagnosed with neuroendocrine tumour, Irrfan Khan is currently in UK seeking treatment for the same. Recently, his spokesperson had announced that the actor is likely to come to India after Diwali. But now here's some good news that will cheer up all his fans. Buzz is that the actor will be celebrating the 'Festival Of Lights' with his family in India.
A Mid-Day report stated that Irrfan will be celebrating Diwali with his family at his Nashik farmhouse. The tabloid quoted a source close to the family as saying, "Irrfan and his family are planning to celebrate Diwali at their Nashik farmhouse. It will be a 10-day trip after which he will return to the UK for his ongoing treatment.
The source further added, "He is yet to be given a clean chit by his doctors on whether he can start full-fledged work. The doctors are hopeful that he can return to the set by March. But he will have to follow the guidelines that his oncologists give him. The biopic will have to be divided into shorter schedules."
When Mid-Day tried to contact Irrfan's wife Sutapa to confirm these reports, they got no response from her.
On the work front, recently, there were rumors floating in that Irrfan will start shooting for Hindi Medium 2 in December. However, Irrfan's spokesperson had rubbished these reports and clarified, "The story floating about Irrfan starting Hindi Medium 2 shoot in December are all based on speculations. However, there is a possibility of him returning to India after Diwali."
Speaking about Hindi Medium 2, buzz is that Sara Ali Khan will play the role of his daughter in this sequel. The actor will also seen in Shoojit Sircar's Uddhan Singh biopic.
Once Irrfan returns to India, he will start shooting for Hindi Medium 2. The film also reportedly stars Sara Ali Khan as his daughter. Post that, he will be working with Shoojit Sircar's Uddhan Singh biopic.
