Jackie Shroff On Sridevi: I Was Always In Awe Of Her!

Jackie Shroff who worked with Sridevi in Subhash Ghai's Karma says that she was always in awe of the actress. He also said that the otherwise shy Sridevi would be a fireworks once the camera rolled.

It's a sad day for the entire nation! We are finally bidding adieu to most of India's most loved superstars- Sridevi whose untimely death has left us all in deep shock.

The actress breathed her last on Saturday, 24th January after 'accidentally drowning' in a bath tub. Earlier, a cardiac arrest was speculated to be the cause of her death. The news shattered millions of her fans and left the entire film fraternity in deep agony.

Since a last few days, a lot of celebrities have been sharing their fond memories of the veteran actress. Amongst them is Sridevi's 'Karma' co-star Jackie Shroff. Here's what he had to say-

This morning, thousands of fans stood outside the Celebration club to catch a last glimpse of their favourite actress. Inside, Sridevi lay in a transparent casket, draped in a gorgeous red and gold Kanjeevaram, garlanded with roses. Standing next to the casket was her long-time friend Rani Mukherji.

As per the latest updates, the mortal remains of Sridevi have reached the Vile Parle Seva Samaj Crematorium and Hindu Cemetery where the last rites would be performed.
