Kerala Floods: Shahrukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai, Hrithik Roshan & Big B Urge Fans To Donate For A Cause
Kerala Floods: Shahrukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai, Hrithik Roshan, Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Esha Gupta, Prakash Raj and several other Bollywood stars donated a big sum to the Kerala relief fund.
The continuous rains in Kerala have devastated the lives of people and several of them have lost their homes and are left with no food to eat. People around the country are contributing monetarily and even our very own Bollywood stars such as Shahrukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai, Akshay Kumar, Hrithik Roshan, Amitabh Bachchan, Esha Gupta and several others have contributed a big sum towards the relief fund and have urged their fans to do the same.
As per the state authorities, the death toll has reached to 197 in Kerala and around 36 people are missing since August 8, 2018, due to floods and landslides. The report also states that over 3.14 Lakh people are in relief camps and the numbers are only increasing by the day. Check out what Bollywood celebrities tweeted below regarding the Kerala floods.
Shahrukh Khan
Sound Engineer, Resul Pookutty first praised SRK by tweeting, "Thank you so much @iamsrk me personally and the people of kerala are indebted to you for your generosity and quick action...respect."
Shahrukh Khan replied to Resul Pookutty, "Sir, it's the duty and dharma of each one of us to stand by our brothers and sisters in times of need. May Allah bless each and everyone in Kerala."
Aishwarya Rai
Aishwarya Rai tweeted a series of pictures of the collection centres and drop boxes around the country and also captioned one of the images as, "PLEASE HELP."
Hrithik Roshan
"The situation in Kerala is critical. Help is required. Please let's come forward and do whatever we can. Our friends in Kerela need us right now. I have contributed a sum and I request you all to do whatever you can. God bless #KerelaFloodRelief," he tweeted.
Amitabh Bachchan
"The devastation caused by incessant rain in Kerala is frightening ! Hundreds and thousands of our sisters and brothers are in deep anguish ! We must do all we can to contribute as much as we can towards the needs of the people of Kerala .. I have .. you must too," he tweeted.
Esha Gupta
"I urge you to donate money, food, clothes... whatever you can in your own way. No one needs to know how much and what. Lend a helping hand because you can. Kerala needs us, humanity needs us," she said.
Prakash Raj
"It's time to be human..please donate ..every RUPEE every GESTURE counts..🙏don't fall for the fake political propaganda of this beautiful state..I am donating 5 lakhs to begin with #justaskingfoundation #prakashrajfoundation will continue further efforts..let's give back to life," he tweeted.
