Lata Mangeshkar Unhappy With Atif Aslam's 'Chalte Chalte', Says 'I Don't Want To Hear It'!
'Chalte Chalte' singer Lata Mangeshkar is miffed with Atif Aslam's recreated version for 'Mitron' and says that she doesn't want to hear it.

Of late, it has become a trend to remix old popular Bollywood numbers and use them in the film. While some feel that it's a good way to pay homage to the original song and make the youth aware of these classic numbers, there are many out there who are of the opinion that these old gems should be left as they are.
The latest song to join this bandwagon is 'Chalte Chalte' from Pakeezah. The iconic song has been recreated by Tanishq Bagchi in Atif Aslam's tune for Jackky Bhagnani-Kritika Kamra starrer Mitron. Reportedly, the recreated version hasn't gone down well with the legendary singer who slammed it right away while speaking to IANS.

Veteran singer Alka Yagnik, whose song Dilbar Dilbar was recently remixed for Satyameva Jayate added, "Why don't they make a new song and make it a superhit if they can, instead of picking up an already superhit song, distorting it, and releasing it again... and then saying, 'See, it's become so popular'."
"She also added that it's surprising how composers don't hesitate to tamper with Lata Mangeskar's priceless creations: "Chalo humaare gaanon ke saath ye zulm kartey hain but their audacity is increasing by the day. Now they've started doing this to Lata didi's song as well."
