The trailer which runs for about two minutes has Pihu (Myra) locking herself up in a fridge, and in her attempt to get out of it, ending up breaking a bottle. When she is hungry, she overheats the roti in the microwave, but doesn't not know how to stop it. When she spills the water, it reaches the fairy lights, and there could be a short circuit. Talking about his working experience with Myra, director Vinod Kapri shared, "We gave her time to acquaint herself with the space as well as the crew. We would shoot for two hours a day. There were three cameras placed on the set because you can't ask a two-year-old to give another take. The toys that you see in the film all belong to Myra."

Pihu has received accolades at various international film festivals. It was selected as an official entry for prestigious international film festivals which include Vancouver, Palm springs, Iran, Morocco, and Germany. It also went on to win 'Best Film' at Morocco. It was also the opening film at India's biggest film festival - International Film Festival of India, Goa (2017) where it received rave reviews.

Produced by Ronnie Screwvala, Siddharth Roy Kapur & Shilpa Jindal, the film is slated to release on 16th November, 2018.
